So what is Stamp Duty? And how to apply?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stamp Duty is a tax we pay when buying a home in Australia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How much do you have to pay Stamp Duty?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. <strong>State\/Territory you plan to buy<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Stamp Duty values are determined by each State and Territory Government. This means that each State and Territory has a different set of rates, rates, and exemptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, if you buy a $700,000 home in Albury, NSW, the same home value but you will pay less stamp duty than the stamp duty on the home in Wodonga, VIC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Property value<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The value of the property you intend to buy is a major factor in how stamp duty is calculated.
